Congrats to the WrestleMania 39 Night 1 winners, especially Rhea Ripley dethroning Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Womens Championship and the NEW Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn!
GIMME A HELL YEAH! Download this free WWE wallpaper, don’t go to work (kiddin’), drink some beers, and celebrate Stone Cold Day coz Stone Cold said so!
Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 is heating up, tying up with the storyline of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens fighting The Bloodline. You can sense that this will be the main event at Backlash, with Cody Rhodes as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn as Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champs versus Roman Reigns and the Usos. For now though, Cody is on a mission to finally prove himself as a worthy main event champion, realizing the culmination of his story (or journey) at WrestleMania 39.
With Roman Reigns nearing 1000 days as champ, it is certainly possible that WWE ultimately decides to have the Tribal Chief retain yet again. It’ll be quite a milestone yes, but I don’t think they should do it at the expense of the American Nightmare. Creating a new face of WWE, someone that can carry the company for at least the next 5 years, is and will always be a higher priority than a record.
My prediction: Cody Rhodes beats Roman Reigns clean and wins the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Although he didn’t emerge victorious, the hot and streaking Montez Ford demonstrated his potential to become a prominent singles star in WWE. He displayed his remarkable skills and charisma throughout the match, fighting with everything he had to stay alive. Fans and fellow WWE Superstars praised his performance, to the point that he was acknowledged as the MVP of the US Title Elimination Chamber match.
It’s evident that King Tez has a bright future ahead of him, and given more chances to exhibit his abilities, he’s gonna be a US champion soon—perhaps as the man who will eventually dethrone Austin Theory.
We were treated to a fiery, passionate promo between Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes on this week’s WWE RAW. Roman Reigns eventually put out the fire by responding like a true boss, saying them having a pep rally to convince each other that they can beat him already puts them in a position where they don’t stand a chance. Regardless, these two incredible WWE Superstars have all the momentum in the world right now, that anyone of them can believably win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from the Tribal Chief.
The Usos vs. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens is a real possibility for WrestleMania 39, so that lessens Sami’s chances of winning against Roman. If I was HHH though, I’d take advantage of Zayn’s incredible popularity now and make him champion at Elimination Chamber. Cody’s bound to have his moment at some point, and having him beat Reigns is kinda predictable in my opinion. I say Roman can regain one of the titles after the WWE Draft, and have the 1on1 match against Cody at Summerslam. Whether Sami wins this Saturday or not, Roman’s days as champion are really numbered, like Sami has said.
This saga between The Bloodline, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens has been SOOOO GOOD. To some people like me, you want to add another swerve chapter prolong this storyline, but I understand that the majority are already wanting the Sami Uso beatdown from the hands of Roman Reigns, Usos and Solo Sikoa. That way, Sami could become the biggest babyface in WWE (even bigger than Bray Wyatt and Cody Rhodes), and ultimately dethrone either Roman Reigns or The Usos (reconnecting with KO). I smell a swerve of some unexpected proportions, with Jey Uso showing brotherly love to Sami Zayn—or perhaps, Kevin Owens pulls off a landscape-altering upset tonight against The Tribal Chief and win the coveted Undisputed WWE Championship.
Tomorrow, one thing’s for sure—the wheels will fall off, and begin the long, difficult road to WrestleMania 39 for one, two, or everyone involved in the biggest storyline WWE is telling right now.
It might’ve been really subtle and simple, but the memorable moment that happened between The Undertaker and Bray Wyatt this past Monday was very special to everyone, especially to these two iconic WWE Superstars themselves, as they’ve mentioned in their respective social media accounts. The mantle has been passed to the new generation, and it’s up to Bray Wyatt himself to take it up a notch and live his mystique in the years to come. A tall task, given what The Undertaker has accomplished in his storied career. However, the former Eater of Worlds has a lot of gas left in the tank. Surely, he will ascend to a similar status, or might even surpass what The Deadman has done.
Bray Wyatt has proven time and time again that he can draw, and keep fans glued in their TVs. His character work has always been superb. I can’t wait to see where this Uncle Howdy angle goes.
Will The Rock make a surprise appearance at this year’s Rumble? It feels like he will. He won’t necessarily compete though, as he can just show up and challenge Roman Reigns for one of the titles at WrestleMania. If he does enter the Royal Rumble, he’s gonna be the final surprise entrant at #30 and as much as I would want Sami Zayn to win it, Rocky will surely win the match if The Great One shows up.
Meltzer has said that Dwayne Johnson is unable to commit, well, who knows, HHH/WWE might be intentionally leaking out false info. They didn’t make Cody’s return a surprise, so I believe we’re in for a much bigger treat.
The “Prison Dom” gimmick is outrageously funny. Dominik Mysterio has found quite a gem, it perfectly suits him! This will be a good push him, just enough for him to gain momentum and to get a deserving shot at having a WrestleMania match against his father, Rey Mysterio—if he can make it work. So far, fans are still 50/50 on it, but he can easily tilt the balance if he’s able to channel his inner Eddie and somehow incorporate the funny or entertaining parts into this obnoxious persona. I already like how the whole Judgment Day is benefiting from Dom. It looks like 2023 will be a big year for them. They keep winning and even won a RAW Tag Team Championship shot and will go against the Usos. With Prison Dom’s presence, the Judgment Day has become a must-see.
