Oh yes. What a time to be a wrestling fan again, with AEW on a roll, Impact partnering with other promotions, fans back in the arena chanting and just purely enjoying the shows, and WWE throwing the big names (and matchups) for this year’s WWE SummerSlam. Edge vs. Rollins is a sure bet. Perhaps Lashley and a returning Goldberg being announced tomorrow? But heck, it doesn’t get any bigger than a possible Universal Championship between 2 icons: John Cena vs. Roman Reigns. It’s only a matter of formal announcement, since it has been rumored for months now that Cena is being penciled for a match against the Head of the Table this summer.
It’s always good for the business when someone like John Cena wrestle again and help solidify active WWE talents. Roman Reigns would still probably retain though.
Whatever the outcome is, we all win. MITB was really good, and it makes me hopeful that WWE can keep the momentum going with a superb SummerSlam event.
Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship reign has been so dominant that he essentially went through all the main event faces the whole SmackDown roster has to offer, even ‘ending’ Daniel Bryan’s stint on the blue brand with another successful title defence this week. The “Tribal Chief” created one of his best runs in his HOF-caliber resume for the past year. He added this incredible dimension to his previously stale character, and he absolutely killed it. Now that he’s built up this boss-level status, there’s only one way to solidify the establishment of this monster heel persona–being beaten by an up and coming face that has momentum on his side. Yep, Cesaro winning the Universal Championship from Roman Reigns (and avenging Daniel Bryan at the same time) would complete the Head of the Table’s first championship run.
As to whether Roman Reigns reverts back to being a face this year or not is anyone’s guess right now. I would like to think that he won’t do it anytime soon. Maybe reserve that after he battles The Rock at WrestleMania.
Daniel Bryan somehow found a way to insert himself just in time for the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 37. Roman Reigns wasn’t happy of course, but the stunning news here is Edge turning heel because of it. To be honest though, I prefer this version of Edge much better–the maniacal character that we all learned to love while we growing up in the 2000s. The Rated R Superstar just simply snapped. Thank you Vince for making this change.
On top of this WrestleMania 37 wallpaper, I’m officially launching a YouTube channel–and this design is featured in the debut video showing how the wallpaper was made, albeit in different speeds and cuts. Please support this new initiative of mine by liking the video and subscribing to the channel.
The last time I made a year-end champs wallpaper was last 2015, I believe. Five years later, here we go—a new Year-End Champions wallpaper at the worst year possible lol. 2020 has been tough for everyone, regardless of what you do in life. And speaking of tough, I’m pretty confident that’s how Kupy’s last wallpaper for 2020 looks like! Hope you guys like this huge comeback of Year-End RAW/SmackDown champions wallpaper!
Couldn’t fit NXT/AEW on this one though lol..and the design isn’t really mobile-friendly, so..I apologize lol
The unbelievable has truly happened–Roman Reigns TURNED HEEL. As Paul Heyman said on last week’s Smackdown: BELIEVE THAT.
No one saw it coming when he returned at SummerSlam and gave Braun Strowman and The Fiend a total beatdown. There were reports that Mr. McMahon wanted him to be ‘edgy’, and everyone was still skeptical because we all know what happened to John Cena before. SmackDown came and the Big Dog teased an unholy alliance with Lesnar’s advocate. Roman then finally sealed the deal with the devil at WWE Payback, thus solidifying his heel turn. I mean, wow. Also, The Fiend becomes face in the process. I dig everything that’s happened so far!
It’s gonna be exciting to see how WWE pushes Roman Reigns as a heel champion, I wouldn’t be surprised if he holds the Universal Championship up to WrestleMania 37.
Inspired by his new shirt design “Wreck Everyone & Leave”, Kupy Wrestling Wallpapers brings to you Roman Reigns, as the NEW WWE Universal Champion, and as the newest Paul Heyman Guy!
This Shield wallpaper might say it’s going to be the last time for them, the ironic thing about it though is that each and every week, Dean Ambrose apparent exit from WWE is looking be a masterful work of leading the fans to believe that this is it for The Lunatic. A lot of fans see this angle as well. We’ll see after WrestleMania 35. For now though, the Hounds of Justice are back together again for the nth time haha. If Dean’s really a goner in a few weeks, let’s hope that this final run by the returning Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose as The Shield be the most memorable one ever.
It’s almost a foregone conclusion that today will be the last day of Brock Lesnar’s pitiful Universal Championship reign..and Roman Reigns will be the one to dethrone him (coz Vince said so). As mentioned a few weeks back, I would’ve love Seth Rollins to be the man to finally win the strap from The Beast but here we are. Right now, anyone would take Roman Reigns as champion instead of the part-timer. There’s a trick to it though.
WWE has teased us with a Heyman-Reigns partnership and boy did it look good. You may say that it was just a plan by Paul for a staged attack by Brock, but you can clearly see in his facial expressions that he’s trying to send the Big Dog a cryptic message-that at this point, they need each other. They’re both ‘drowning’ and the only way they can come out of this as winners is to form an unholy alliance. Plus, Brock Lesnar didn’t attack Paul a couple of weeks ago just for the heck of it. WWE planted the seeds. Now, they just need to decide where to finally go with the turn or not.
You don’t need to have an MITB cash-in tonight for things to get interesting in the Universal Championship picture. We just need to see the Roman Reigns-Paul Heyman partnership materialize.
