It might’ve been really subtle and simple, but the memorable moment that happened between The Undertaker and Bray Wyatt this past Monday was very special to everyone, especially to these two iconic WWE Superstars themselves, as they’ve mentioned in their respective social media accounts. The mantle has been passed to the new generation, and it’s up to Bray Wyatt himself to take it up a notch and live his mystique in the years to come. A tall task, given what The Undertaker has accomplished in his storied career. However, the former Eater of Worlds has a lot of gas left in the tank. Surely, he will ascend to a similar status, or might even surpass what The Deadman has done.
Bray Wyatt has proven time and time again that he can draw, and keep fans glued in their TVs. His character work has always been superb. I can’t wait to see where this Uncle Howdy angle goes.
Will The Rock make a surprise appearance at this year’s Rumble? It feels like he will. He won’t necessarily compete though, as he can just show up and challenge Roman Reigns for one of the titles at WrestleMania. If he does enter the Royal Rumble, he’s gonna be the final surprise entrant at #30 and as much as I would want Sami Zayn to win it, Rocky will surely win the match if The Great One shows up.
Meltzer has said that Dwayne Johnson is unable to commit, well, who knows, HHH/WWE might be intentionally leaking out false info. They didn’t make Cody’s return a surprise, so I believe we’re in for a much bigger treat.
The “Prison Dom” gimmick is outrageously funny. Dominik Mysterio has found quite a gem, it perfectly suits him! This will be a good push him, just enough for him to gain momentum and to get a deserving shot at having a WrestleMania match against his father, Rey Mysterio—if he can make it work. So far, fans are still 50/50 on it, but he can easily tilt the balance if he’s able to channel his inner Eddie and somehow incorporate the funny or entertaining parts into this obnoxious persona. I already like how the whole Judgment Day is benefiting from Dom. It looks like 2023 will be a big year for them. They keep winning and even won a RAW Tag Team Championship shot and will go against the Usos. With Prison Dom’s presence, the Judgment Day has become a must-see.
It might still be early, but I’m already feelin’ the Royal Rumble season! It is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing and anticipated events in WWE history, as the winner on the Mens Rumble potentially becomes the chosen one (literally) to finally dethrone Roman Reigns as Undisputed Champion at WrestleMania 39. Also, it’s a toss-up between Becky Lynch or Rhea Ripley since these two have the most momentum right now. Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey is already a lock, so Becky might not even need to win the Women’s Rumble, as Rhea will certainly benefit more from it. Charlotte is also in the play, as she’s almost certain to come back at the event and possibly score another Rumble win. Sasha Banks might be a long shot right now, but with HHH at the helm, you can never be so sure. A lot can happen between now and up to January 28, 2023.
Speaking of the Road to WrestleMania 39, there’s talk about the Tribal Chief defending both his titles in separate WrestleMania nights, with either the WWE Championship or Universal Championship in night 1, and the other in night 2. I dig it. Here’s why.
Rumors are circling around that The Rock is being considered to win next year’s Royal Rumble. You can have him go after the Universal Championship, since he hasn’t won that one yet. That’s a money-making move in WWE’s part, since it’ll definitely cross mainstream media and bring more eyes to the product. However, as far as building a new megastar is concerned, I’d rather go with Cody Rhodes or Sami Zayn. For Cody, the story writes itself, not to mention he also has a little bit of mainstream/Hollywood appeal. Sami Zayn—we all know how this can play out. Him and Kevin Owens can go after the Usos for the Tag Team Championships and there’s nothing wrong with that..but I prefer that Sami goes ‘Solo’ on this one and become the ultimate babyface for WWE, 2023 and beyond. Have either Sami or Cody challenge for Roman’s WWE Championship. Another scenario is for Roman to retain against The Rock, then the next night (post-WrestleMania RAW), have Sami somehow get a title shot against Roman and he beats him for the Universal Championship. Imagine how hot the crowd will be for that one!
Next year’s Royal Rumble is shaping up to be a treat to WWE Universe. John Cena—believed to be announcing his Royal Rumble entry at the end of the year, Kevin Owens and even Solo Sikoa could potentially win the event, long shot as it may be for them. As for my personal picks, I’ll go with those who have built quite a momentum this year: Rhea Ripley and Sami Zayn. Becky Lynch and Cody Rhodes are already main event players, they’ll find a way to become champions somehow.
It’s time for HHH to prove that he can create future WWE icons, and next year’s Rumble is the perfect place for him to do it.
The most gripping storyline in WWE TV today, bar none. Sami’s inclusion to the Bloodline’s family drama is turning out to be the most intriguing storyline of 2022—sorry, it ain’t the CM Punk-Elite backstage fight. With Sami making the difficult choice of turning against Kevin Owens (though they’ve turned on each other a couple of times already), the Honorary Uce might just’ve solidified his position in the group and that honorary tag can be removed now, as he’s become a full-blown UCE! Jey even gave him one heck of a hug at the end of WarGames that drew a huge pop by the WWE Universe.
Kevin is racing against time. He’s desperate to make Sami see the truth. The Bloodline has reached the peak of their dominance, with all the members wholly accepting Sami Zayn last night. So, would that mean it’ll be time to go down soon? Kevin Owens will play a critical part in making sure that happens.
Looks like Bray Wyatt is back to his old Eater of Worlds persona, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more to it. Rumors have been circling around the web that he might even have a new stable, given how the Firefly Funhouse characters showed up at Extreme Rules. Liv Morgan and Seth Rollins are the first ones who may have been teased when they updated their Twitter accounts, but HHH and co. might only be intentionally swerving the WWE Universe.
The creative genius that is Bray Wyatt has done another masterful revamp of his character, and the fans are excited as heck for what the future holds.
Here’s a wallpaper version of the logo that showed up on Extreme Rules after Bray took off his mask and blew out the lantern. It’s still a mystery right now as what it could signify, whether it’s just a new logo for Wyatt, or if it could mean a new stable in the works (Wyatt 6). Hopefully we get some sort of answer or clarity this coming Monday Night RAW.
The ongoing storyline involving The Bloodline and a little bit of Zayn-Owens reunion tease, the WWE Universe is expecting that it’ll lead down to an eventual Sami-Bloodline falling out. Owens and Zayn will then challenge The Usos at on or before WrestleMania 39 for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships. That’s good and all, but here’s a better idea—Sami Zayn as Universal Champion (with a clean haircut pls) while Kevin Owens wins the WWE Championship. How that plays out, I still have no idea. One thing is for sure, WWE has a legitimate chance to solidify Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as megastars, especially Sami since the WWE Universe has been behind him for quite some time now. He’s on the brink of a HUGE babyface turn. Also, Roman vs. Rock without the titles will still be the main event no matter what.
I’d totally welcome these 2 men as WWE and Universal Champions since they’ve really earned their keep with their stellar character work, through pandemic and all. Being Undisputed Tag Champs isn’t bad at all, and we’re about to get a Cody Rhodes return at the Rumble (though I think a championship reign for him can wait), so HHH needs to pull the trigger soon and give Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn what they truly deserve: the two main titles. Either they enter WrestleMania 39 as champs, or both of them win the championships at the event.
Hands down, this is the best storyline in wrestling planet right now. The emotions involved in last week’s SmackDown segment, man, it was really a rollercoaster alright. Everyone thought The Bloodline would finally turn on Sami and break his heart. He pulled some Oscars acting out of his bag and had everyone in the world empathizing him and cheering for him at the same time. The inevitable will happen, of course. Roman, together with the whole Bloodline family, will surely kick poor Sami Zayn out of the group in the near future. For now though, he’s been officially bestowed as the Honorary Uce, and Sami couldn’t be any happier. The utter disgust on Jey’s face added another unforgettable (and meme-worthy) layer to the segment—props to him too!
Everyone is expecting Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to become a tag team at some point, most likely right before WrestleMania, and finally take the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions off The Usos. That’s most likely the scenario that will play out, but I have a different idea. 😉
Here’s some wallpaper goodness for your screens, inspired from The Usos’ AR graphics during their entrance. Jey Uso will not be happy with this!
Dexter Lumis has been killin’ it (pun intended), with his creepy, stalking gimmick, making The Miz’ life uncomfortable and downright miserable. Peeps who hasn’t seen his NXT work are in for a treat. I’ve seen a lot of positive comments / reactions from casual fans, and that’s good news.
Triple H wants to make iconic characters again. Well, Dexter Lumis has a bright future and can be one of those household names if he strikes gold in his WWE career.
