The last time I made a year-end champs wallpaper was last 2015, I believe. Five years later, here we go—a new Year-End Champions wallpaper at the worst year possible lol. 2020 has been tough for everyone, regardless of what you do in life. And speaking of tough, I’m pretty confident that’s how Kupy’s last wallpaper for 2020 looks like! Hope you guys like this huge comeback of Year-End RAW/SmackDown champions wallpaper!
Couldn’t fit NXT/AEW on this one though lol..and the design isn’t really mobile-friendly, so..I apologize lol
Whether he’s portraying Luke Harper, or Brodie Lee, everyone knows Jon Huber has always been someone special, not only in the ring, but outside as well. The man is well-regarded among his peers, be it in WWE or AEW..so it’s really tragic to hear this news. He had a long career ahead of him, and he’s just starting to see the fruits of his labor in All Elite Wrestling.
This wallpaper is a tribute using WWE’s photos because they posted an awesome collection of pictures that’s why I went with these instead of the more recent ones from AEW. Regardless, the wrestling world is grieving, and it’s only fitting that we pay one final tribute to the former Wyatt Family member, and the leader of Dark Order—The Exalted One.
Winter has come, and AEW is now the new home of The Stinger. It’s being reported that he signed a multi-year contract. As to what extent his appearances will be, we still don’t know. I hope his neck is fine now and he can do wrestling in some limited capacity every now and then. Anything AEW can get from Sting at this stage of his career are probably bonus points now, but should still be appreciated by wrestling fans worldwide.
Looks like he’s getting in a program with Cody Rhodes, or Darby Allin perhaps? The latter sounds intriguing to me. Even though Kenny Omega just won the AEW World Championship in the same night (and will be doing some Impact Wrestling stints as well), Sting’s AEW debut made more noise on the news front. That says a lot about the magnitude of Sting’s mainstream appeal.
Really can’t say much about Randy Orton winning a WWE Championship for the 14th time other than it puts him up there in rare air, together with the likes of John Cena, Triple H and Ric Flair. The sheer number of championships between these men are astonishing. It sucks for Drew McIntyre to be a WWE Champion during this pandemic, as his feud with Randy Orton could’ve been more something the fans can invest in. Drew has been fantastic this 2020, but you can also make the same case for Mr. RKO. He’s been on a roll since dishing out punishment we’ve only seen from him when he was punting out legends before. It’s a mix of the sadistic viper and legend killer gimmicks that ultimately led him to being WWE Champion again.
I think it was the right move to put the belt on him, as Drew needs to be chasing the title more instead of defeating everyone in front of him. And whether it’s Drew, The Fiend or someone else, whoever wins the WWE Championship from Randy Orton will have or add more legitimacy to his name.
Ali being revealed as the leader of RETRIBUTION is either a genius, long-term storytelling, or a last-ditch effort to pump life into the group’s storyline. That said, it’s critical that WWE better not mess up anymore. Dominik Dijakovic (T-Bar), Dio Maddin (Mace), Shane Thorne (Slapjack), Mia Yim (Reckoning) and Mercedes Martinez (Retaliation) are talented enough even without the weird names-and they’re really trying their best to make this believable.
With Ali now at the helm, RETRIBUTION gets another chance at being taken seriously. Let’s see if Ali will make good in his “Some dreams die so others can live” quote and create some positive buzz for RETRIBUTION.
We usually see WWE build up new stars, aside from the NXT call-ups, this time of the year. Last night we saw it again: Jinder Mahal in a monumental win against The Viper Randy Orton and finally becoming the new WWE Champion. As everybody knows, it was a tough road for him these past few years, mostly jobbing to other WWE Superstars. Now, The Maharaja has proven himself to be a solid heel, not so much of a main event talent yet but he’s done good in his role so far. It was surprising to see him win the WWE Championship this early regardless of WWE’s India expansion plans or change in his physical look. What’s refreshing though is there’s a new villain in town and is looking to prove that he belongs where he’s at right now. As recent Jinder fans have said: “Don’t Hinder Jinder”.
They’re not exactly the best wrestler-diva tandem in the business today, but Ted Dibiase Jr. and Maryse are slowly getting there. Ted made this connection possible after he fired Virgil and promised Maryse to shower her with (lots of) gifts – jewelry, money and probably gold too. It’s some sort of an unholy alliance to me especially since we know Maryse doesn’t actually need a man to prove her brashness. Since then, Ted has gained a slight advantage over his opponents, especially John Morrison, with the help of the former and first-ever WWE Divas Champion. This sets up a possible John Morrison-Melina and Ted Dibiase Jr.-Maryse feud down the line. Yummeh.
