R-Truth is not the top heel on RAW, but he’s definitely the hottest and one of the most controversial characters in a while. While he hasn’t smoked these past few weeks since his heel turn, R-Truth has kept his personality interesting. He’s been talking about conspiracy within the whole WWE and most likely, it’s about racism/race stereotyping. Somehow, WWE loves angles like that. From Nation of Domination to Cryme Tyme and now this. Undoubtedly, it’s helping him get his character over and as long as the creative team doesn’t go overboard on this one, I can live with it. I prefer a cigarette-smoking R-Truth though.

The RAW brand has all the top heels in the company. It’ll take a while before R-Truth tastes the main event scene. For now, as long as he lets his opponents know the ‘truth’, he’ll be within striking distance. Who knows? Maybe he can win the RAW briefcase on the next Money In The Bank PPV, cash it in and win his first WWE Championship.

Sorry for the LOOOONNNNGGGG hiatus. I got bedridden 2 weeks ago and I totally got lazy with everything else happening in my life. What a sad dude I am. Anyway, let’s proceed with the new wallpaper.

I’ve said before that Cody Rhodes’ star was born on WrestleMania 27. I know his newfound mean streak was built up nicely heading to the event but in my eyes, he was still unproven in the ring using his new character. And when he wrestled Rey Mysterio that night, I knew right there that this guy has found his road to stardom. The Dashing gimmick was good but it won’t give him a serious push. This Dr. Doom-ish character is quite brilliant and innovative. It gives him a mysterious aura and an unstable and most importantly, a dangerous personality, just like what Kane was when he still had his mask on. The injury somehow benefited him more. That’s pretty rare. Also, the paper bags he’s been handing out to audience lately gives another sick touch to his already wicked character. Brilliant thinking if you ask me.

As most of you already know, Edge has announced his retirement last night on RAW. I didn’t wanna believe it at first. Thought it was an angle or something. Then after watching that segment, I realize that this was no angle they’re making up. It was 100% legit. I felt he had to make an immediate announcement and he wasn’t prepared for it. He cares about his health a lot and I believe once he was notified by his doctor(s) about the situation, Edge decided it was time. It wasn’t on his terms just like what he said, but I admire his decision to finally hang the boots. No one wants to see him in a wheelchair after WrestleMania 28 (if that was his target retirement). Also, Alberto would’ve even interrupted him if this was a storyline.

Bring me back to 1999 and I wouldn’t bet on this guy being an 11-time world champion. It’s amazing how Edge accomplished a lot in his short career (short compared to, let’s say, Ric Flair?). From being a member of The Brood, his antics with Christian, TLC matches with the Dudleys and Hardys, teaming up with Hogan, his sexcapades with Lita and Vickie (LOL), big-time feuds with the likes of Cena, Undertaker, Jericho and Shawn Michaels. I could go on and on. This was his childhood dream, and he exceeded all expectations, even his own. Edge, thank you so much for all the great memories you’ve given us. Hall of Fame career and person.

WrestleMania 27 is 1 week away! Are you guys ready for the biggest wrestling PPV of the year? Lock your seat belts because we’ll be in for a roller coaster ride with these main event matches! The World Heavyweight Championship match features the Rated R Superstar, Edge versus the brash Alberto Del Rio. For the WWE Championship match, it’s the man of awesome, The Miz against Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect (and not talented enough accdg. to The Rock), John Cena. And the match that will probably end WrestleMania 27, it’s the Game, Triple H challenging the Last Outlaw, The Undertaker with his WrestleMania Streak on the line. Pretty solid main event matches if you ask me. If Christian somehow gets included in the WHC match, not only will this wallpaper fail, but it would ruin the Alberto’s mega push because this is his time to shine and he needs this to be a one-on-one match against Edge to solidify his position on the main event ranks. It wouldn’t hurt Christian though (and in the past few weeks, it seems like he was the Royal Rumble winner and not Del Rio) so it can really go either way for me.

As for the WWE Championship match, hopefully we’ll be treated to some Rock interference or post-match brawl between these 3 WWE Superstars. Ever since Rock came back, you can’t deny that this feud got a much-needed boost. Both Miz and Cena are benefiting from this hot angle right now. Continue this until Summerslam and fans will surely dig this 3-way feud. Lastly, the chances of Triple H winning against Undertaker is ZERO. NO ONE IS GONNA BREAK THE STREAK. Triple H is gonna ‘die’ trying.

When the glass breaks, we all know who’s comin’..Stone Cold Steve Austin, ready to raise hell! Granted he won’t be doing any form of wrestling on WrestleMania 27, his presence alone adds something special in whatever he’s involved in – this time in a heated match between Jerry Lawler and the most hated guy in WWE today, Michael Cole. We’ve seen Austin guest ref a WrestleMania match before (Umaga vs. Lashley at WrestleMania 23) so some of us already have an idea what he’s capable of doing. He’ll definitely be impartial but if you cross him, you’ll pay the price. Truth be told, I’m now more excited as to what will happen after that match because we all know we’ll be treated to a stunner or two, most likely on Jack Swagger and Michael Cole. That would be a funny moment yet again.

With Tough Enough debuting soon, Austin’s presence in WWE should be a given. And now that he’s here, I can’t wait to see him do another stunnin’ and beer drinkin’ WrestleMania moment on April 3! Ahh, I miss you Attitude era.

This week, we saw the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin (and JBL for a few minutes) and man, I must say I’m really proud to be a huge WWE fan nowadays. Even my peers are raving about this year’s WrestleMania season and how couldn’t they? Triple H, Undertaker, Trish Stratus, The Rock and now, Stone Cold Steve Austin in just a span of 1 month. Talk about laying all down the aces!

There have been ramblings around the net about how WWE Attitude era is owning WWE PG recently. Yes, I do wish that they eventually get rid of the PG programming but let’s be realistic here, do you guys really see WWE giving up the PG stuff anytime soon? As much as most adult fans want that, the future doesn’t look that way. After WrestleMania 27, most likely the Attitude era nostalgia will be gone again. Stone Cold and The Rock aren’t staying no matter what they say, Triple H is ready to relocate to the corporate ranks and Shawn Michaels is happily retired. The Undertaker has 1-2 years left in his body so he’s the only one who’ll probably stay from these veterans.

No one can deny how these guys have brought ratings up again these past few weeks and to see them feud with the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Alberto del Rio, The Miz and CM Punk would be a total treat for everyone. The Rock-Cena-Miz angle has been gold already. How about Stone Cold mixing up with Randy Orton? Even adult fans won’t have anything bad to say about that. I say have them stay until SummerSlam! Just dreaming.

Vince McMahon has truly brought his aces to the table now. This past week on RAW, we saw the return of not only The Undertaker, but Triple H as well. And as rumors have been swirling around the net, this WrestleMania match has been, in a way, confirmed and is now official as both these legends have come face to face this week. The obvious storyline for this is Triple H seeking revenge against The Undertaker for ending his best friend’s (which is Shawn Michaels) career last year at WrestleMania 26.

This isn’t the first time these two have met on the grandest stage of them all. 10 years ago, at WrestleMania 17/X7, these 2 had a brutal match against each other. Obviously, since the streak is still alive, Undertaker won that match. On April, it’ll probably the same result. I don’t see Triple H winning at all. Reports say this will be Triple H’s last match, that this will be a streak vs. career match too, as he prepares for full-time corporate/backstage work as Vince’s heir apparent. Well, I hope this rumor is completely false as Triple H is still better than half the roster WWE has now. Plus, he’ll be solid in elevating youngsters. Even if he does ‘retire’, I still see him wrestling matches every now and then. As for The Undertaker, the streak will live on. But I hope WWE gives us a real scare on WrestleMania 27 with lots of false finishes and LOTS of finishers done by both these legendary WWE Superstars. Lastly, Shawn Michaels will probably get involved in some sort of a capacity, maybe as an enforcer, just to make things interesting and having The Phenom at a disadvantage. I don’t expect him wearing a referee shirt that day.

Fasten your seat belts because we’re officially underway for the WrestleMania 27 wallpapers (including previous wallpapers of Alberto del Rio and The Rock)! I’ll be releasing wallpapers of possible and announced matches of this year’s WrestleMania from hereon until the PPV comes to an end. With that said, let’s go to our featured wallpaper.

CM Punk vs. Randy Orton. That’s a good WrestleMania match right there. With their feud picking up steam each and every week, thanks to CM Punk’s and Orton’s masterful storyline telling, this could be a show stealer, given the abilities of these two men. CM Punk has become more hated as a heel (and more loved by the smart fans) while The Viper has become a more legit face because he’s dealing with numbers/Nexus now and that’s a must-have for faces who need to get over huge. Both these WWE Superstars are taking it to another level on becoming more effective in their roles and that’s why this feud works very well for them. In the coming weeks, I’m anticipating that the anonymous RAW General Manager will throw something for their match, probably making their WM27 match a no.1 contendership match for a chance to face the winner of the Cena-Miz WWE Championship match on the next PPV or if they’re lucky, the next night on RAW. Whatever the case is, I’m pretty sold on this match, with or without stipulations.

Me and my officemates (who were huge Attitude fans before) were marking out big time awhile ago while watching Rock’s EPIC promo. Indeed it was nostalgic. As The Rock nailed his lines like it was his last, we can’t help but smile sheepishly in front of our computers. The Rock still delivers the best promos in the business and no one else will ever come close to his charisma and mic skills. Yes, not even John Cena. Speaking of Cena, I LOVED how The Rock dissed everything about the guy. And he didn’t hold back at all. Didn’t care about WWE PG too! Shoot or work promo, I dig this dream feud between The Rock and John Cena. Will we see it at WrestleMania 27? I doubt it. Although let’s say John Morrison wins the no.1 contendership for the WWE Championship at WWE No Way Out and faces The Miz at WrestleMania 27 and..hey, I can hope right? 😉
