Last night at SmackDown, The Bloodline, together with the Honorary Uce Sami Zayn, created one of the most epic segments ever in WWE history. It was filled with all kinds of emotions, from Solo/Usos/Sami fearing Roman’s wrath, Sami trying to apologize, Jey not giving a damn about what the Tribal Chief says, and most importantly, everyone in the Bloodline breaking characters because of Sami Zayn. Jey, though ‘not very Ucey’ at that point, was really trying hard to contain his laughterâRoman was able to play it off from the initial character break. The segment turned out to be another golden moment in this storyline. This was Hollywood Rock-The Hurricane level of epicness. Everyone involved in this is having a great time, and that resonates with the WWE Universe as well. Great job, HHH and co.
Sami Zayn is gold, man. Solo Sikoa, who arguably is even more serious than Roman Reigns, was also a victim of Zayn’s antics weeks ago. Last night, Jimmy did a pretty good job of hiding his laughter but was still caught smiling a couple of times by the cameraman. Roman has broken character twice already, while Jey, who supposedly hates Sami, has been caught multiple times already lol.
At some point, there’s a good chance that Sami will be acknowledged as a full-blown Uso. Yup, Sami Uso y’all. However, we know how this story will end. It may be hard to watch and emotions will be stirred, but it’ll all be for Sami Zayn’s ultimate babyface turn.
Looks like Bray Wyatt is back to his old Eater of Worlds persona, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more to it. Rumors have been circling around the web that he might even have a new stable, given how the Firefly Funhouse characters showed up at Extreme Rules. Liv Morgan and Seth Rollins are the first ones who may have been teased when they updated their Twitter accounts, but HHH and co. might only be intentionally swerving the WWE Universe.
The creative genius that is Bray Wyatt has done another masterful revamp of his character, and the fans are excited as heck for what the future holds.
Here’s a wallpaper version of the logo that showed up on Extreme Rules after Bray took off his mask and blew out the lantern. It’s still a mystery right now as what it could signify, whether it’s just a new logo for Wyatt, or if it could mean a new stable in the works (Wyatt 6). Hopefully we get some sort of answer or clarity this coming Monday Night RAW.
The ongoing storyline involving The Bloodline and a little bit of Zayn-Owens reunion tease, the WWE Universe is expecting that it’ll lead down to an eventual Sami-Bloodline falling out. Owens and Zayn will then challenge The Usos at on or before WrestleMania 39 for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships. That’s good and all, but here’s a better ideaâSami Zayn as Universal Champion (with a clean haircut pls) while Kevin Owens wins the WWE Championship. How that plays out, I still have no idea. One thing is for sure, WWE has a legitimate chance to solidify Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as megastars, especially Sami since the WWE Universe has been behind him for quite some time now. He’s on the brink of a HUGE babyface turn. Also, Roman vs. Rock without the titles will still be the main event no matter what.
I’d totally welcome these 2 men as WWE and Universal Champions since they’ve really earned their keep with their stellar character work, through pandemic and all. Being Undisputed Tag Champs isn’t bad at all, and we’re about to get a Cody Rhodes return at the Rumble (though I think a championship reign for him can wait), so HHH needs to pull the trigger soon and give Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn what they truly deserve: the two main titles. Either they enter WrestleMania 39 as champs, or both of them win the championships at the event.
Hands down, this is the best storyline in wrestling planet right now. The emotions involved in last week’s SmackDown segment, man, it was really a rollercoaster alright. Everyone thought The Bloodline would finally turn on Sami and break his heart. He pulled some Oscars acting out of his bag and had everyone in the world empathizing him and cheering for him at the same time. The inevitable will happen, of course. Roman, together with the whole Bloodline family, will surely kick poor Sami Zayn out of the group in the near future. For now though, he’s been officially bestowed as the Honorary Uce, and Sami couldn’t be any happier. The utter disgust on Jey’s face added another unforgettable (and meme-worthy) layer to the segmentâprops to him too!
Everyone is expecting Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to become a tag team at some point, most likely right before WrestleMania, and finally take the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions off The Usos. That’s most likely the scenario that will play out, but I have a different idea. đ
Here’s some wallpaper goodness for your screens, inspired from The Usos’ AR graphics during their entrance. Jey Uso will not be happy with this!
Dexter Lumis has been killin’ it (pun intended), with his creepy, stalking gimmick, making The Miz’ life uncomfortable and downright miserable. Peeps who hasn’t seen his NXT work are in for a treat. I’ve seen a lot of positive comments / reactions from casual fans, and that’s good news.
Triple H wants to make iconic characters again. Well, Dexter Lumis has a bright future and can be one of those household names if he strikes gold in his WWE career.
Sheamus vs. Gunther at Clash at the Castle was 100% slobberknocker. Everyone predicted that it’ll be a very, VERY physical matchup, but I certainly did not expect it to be a 5-star, match of the year instant classic. The fight effectively, and organically, made Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland bonafide faces. Major props to Gunther (and his newly-reformed Imperium stable too) for killin’ it with these hard-hitting matches. He blends really well with justt about anyone in the roster. His menacing presence even allowed Sheamus to become an underdog. A beloved face. In 2022. I know, right??
We saw the makings of a future money feud between Imperium and The Brawling Brutes last Friday at SmackDown. Hey, I wouldn’t mind a New Day-Usos level of intense rematches if they can keep bringing the pain, literally, against each other. These 2 teams bring the best in each other.
I think this is the perfect time for Roman Reigns to drop the titles. With Drew having home court advantage, the crowd will surely erupt when Drew McIntyre unseats The Head of the Table tonight. You can even have Sami Zayn inadvertently somehow cost The Bloodline if you don’t want a clean finish (but I hope Drew gets it though). Drew badly needs momentum again, and he’s starting to gain that during these past few months. Let him have his moment after carrying the company on his back during the start of the pandemic era.
Do you think Broken Dreams makes a comeback tonight? Imagine that blaring on the whole arena, it’ll surely hype the crowd up 10x!
Kupy’s prediction:Â Drew McIntyre wins the Undisputed WWE Championship
