One can honestly say that even though WWE is struggling putting up compelling storylines for the fans and of course, having problems in the ratings department, there are bright spots during this not-so-good run: Dean Ambrose winning the Intercontinental Championship at WWE TLC PPV and Roman Reigns capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the second time this past Monday Night RAW. The former Shield members worked their asses off week in, week out despite the WWE creative not giving them enough credible storylines to touch on. It’s time for them to own these prestigious championships because they definitely deserve them.

Brothers in arms, champions at heart. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are carving a Hall of Fame career inch by inch, day by day. In a way, one of them NOT turning on the other at Survivor Series was a good call seeing that these 2 WWE Superstars are now both big babyface champions at the same time. Doesn’t mean though it’ll stay that way ‘coz some are already calling Reigns turning heel soon. We’ll see if their paths cross each other, as bitter enemies.

Aside from Undertaker’s 25th anniversary, this year’s Survivor Series will see the crowning of a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Of course we all know by now who are the final 4 competitors in this tournament. The question is, who’s walking out the champ? Who’s gonna be ‘The Man’? Alberto has been in this stage before so he knows how it feels like. Kevin Owens will be there. He’ll have a great showing despite being unable to advance in the tournament but he won’t lose straight up. It should be a Sami Zayn run-in and he can screws Owens out of the semis. That leaves us the Shield brothers Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. It’s almost a given that someone will turn heel and align with The Authority. In my opinion, Reigns needs to be that guy. I don’t mind repeating The Rock’s Survivor Series turn as long as it can help Reigns finally go away with the John Cena treatment. Dean Ambrose would totally own the top babyface role as he’s already widely accepted by the WWE Universe. Ambrose can then have an intense feud against Reigns and The Authority. Win-win scenario for both of these young studs. Let’s see on Sunday how WWE pulls this off.

Everyone knows by now that Brock Lesnar has signed a new contract with WWE, thus ruling out any form of UFC/MMA return. Before that though, it was almost a given that Brock Lesnar will drop the WWEWHC to Roman Reigns because of his contract uncertainty. Now, it’s 50-50. Will The Beast retain at WrestleMania 31? Or will the hungry challenger take the coveted title off him?

Despite the shower of boos these past few months, Reigns has maintained composure during the tough times. If he can bring out his A game and make a WrestleMania moment against Brock Lesnar, it’s possible that he’ll win some fans over. He needs to look legit, someone that can really stop The Beast from streaking and whooping his ass. It’s make or break for you Roman. This is it. If you screw this up then it’ll be all over for you. This is your one and only chance. I’m a believer, not 100% though, but I totally believe Roman can become the top dog in WWE in due time. And he should do it at Wrestlemania 31.

Remember that “One Versus All” in one of Roman Reigns’ WWE shirt designs? Well, it’s truly one versus all now for him and it started officially after he won the 2015 Royal Rumble. Fans wanted Daniel Bryan to win or probably the other favorites like Dolph Ziggler or Dean Ambrose. It wasn’t meant to be though for the majority of the WWE Universe in attendance and their voices changed the mood of the rest of the Rumble right after DBry was unceremoniously eliminated by Bray Wyatt. With that kind of booking, no doubt Reigns got the bulk of the damage and it’s going to be a tough ride hereon both for him and WWE as they try to win the fans’ hearts back. There’s still a huge chunk of Roman Reigns supporters and good thing that they voice out their opinion on social media to try to justify Roman’s push. I’m all for the guy’s ascent and not going to be a hater anytime soon as I’m intrigue as to how he elevates his overall game starting today. A part of me though thinks he shouldn’t be on the main event of WrestleMania 31 just yet..but I also understand WWE’s gamble. Whatever happens on WrestleMania 31, whether he wins or falls short of winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, I hope good things happen for this young man moving forward.

The blizzard that accompanied the aftermath of Roman’s Rumble win, which ultimately led to WWE cancelling this week’s RAW and Smackdown, is the theme for today’s wallpaper. Rounding up the last of the 3 wrestling wallpapers that revolved around the former members of The Shield is today’s wallpaper offering featuring The Roman Empire, Roman Reigns! It was unfortunate that he got injured last month thus halting his momentum..however, if you look at it on another perspective, it might be a blessing in disguise considering some of the fans are already slowly turning against him this early in his face ride because of the similarities between him and John Cena. When he comes back in a few weeks, I hope Mr. Reigns will have something of an edge in him and just get away with the “get beaten early-momentum shift-sure win” mode that looks exactly Cena’s blueprint. Right now, Seth Rollins and especially Dean Ambrose are already main eventing PPVs. Roman Reigns is getting beat after starting hot early. We’ll see if he can start another momentum into WrestleMania 31 and make that Brock Lesnar matchup happen for real.

Even before his memorable and dominating performance on this year’s Survivor Series, Roman Reigns has been slowly catching fire with his silent but beastly character. For old timers, we can notice his development has similarities to Batista’s before (speaking of The Animal, heard the news already?). I’m still not comfortable with him speaking on the mic, but that skill will improve over time. It’s just a matter of when the WWE Universe will get behind the guy.  If done right, we might have another big star in the making. The eventual breakup of The Shield will also help him with that push. Looks like Reigns will be the first Shield member going straight to the top. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will go there too someday.

Sorry again everyone for the lack of updates. I’ve been SO BUSY with work lately. Even went to a short US trip for that. Anyway, I’m back! Will try to squeeze in a few more before 2013 ends 😉

‘Sup everyone? Been a long time eh? As always, a lot of things in my life needed attention, especially the past 3 weeks. There was a Singapore trip last September and a bday/anniversary celebration with my GF last week so I’m really sorry it took me this long to get a new wallpaper up 🙂

I’m totally loving each and every RAW episode since the aftermath of SummerSlam. It’s always a treat to see angles like this when a lot of stars are being pushed and made relevant with just a single huge storyline that makes everyone look better. The Authority, as WWE loves to say, storyline has benefited not only the WWE Championship picture (Daniel Bryan-Randy Orton) but also Big Show, the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust and to a lesser extent, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz – both involved in recent Randy Orton/Shield altercations. Of course, it helps Orton become the killer Viper again though he has a long way to go in regaining that form. And The Shield? These 3 are the future of WWE hands down. Triple H is now the new super heel boss that everyone wants to see get his ass kicked. Steph is Steph. You can build a solid foundation for the WWE for years to come on this angle alone, as long as they don’t rush or screw this up.

Despite taking a loss from John Cena on last week’s RAW, The Shield walked into Extreme Rules and totally dominated the competition with Dean Ambrose winning the US Championship from Kofi Kingston and the team of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins ending the Tag Team Championship reign of Team Hell No. They now hold 3 of the prestigious WWE championship titles. Who knows, they might still even gun for more. This pack of wolves are always hungry and will bring chaos to anyone they deem an injustice. Expect these young guns to keep these titles for a while.
