Revenge is exactly what John Cena and team WWE got at last night’s WWE SummerSlam and to be honest, I’m glad they got it. Surprisingly, every Nexus elimination was satisfying. I mean I never realized that this angle was so good until I felt the taste of revenge myself! For all I know, I was tired of watching Nexus beatdown almost every RAW Superstar and I never even realized it until last night. For example, when Daniel Bryan quickly eliminated Darren Young, I almost shouted HELL YEAH SERVES YOU RIGHT F*CKRS! SUPERB job WWE!

They’re not exactly the best wrestler-diva tandem in the business today, but Ted Dibiase Jr. and Maryse are slowly getting there. Ted made this connection possible after he fired Virgil and promised Maryse to shower her with (lots of) gifts – jewelry, money and probably gold too. It’s some sort of an unholy alliance to me especially since we know Maryse doesn’t actually need a man to prove her brashness. Since then, Ted has gained a slight advantage over his opponents, especially John Morrison, with the help of the former and first-ever WWE Divas Champion. This sets up a possible John Morrison-Melina and Ted Dibiase Jr.-Maryse feud down the line. Yummeh.

Man, Randy Orton’s on a roll right now. I though, at first, he can’t pull off the face persona..and to my surprise, he has been able to do it nicely. He stayed in character (which is actually A MUST) and just feuded with the likes of Edge and Sheamus. If he can just maintain this AND if Cena turns heel by joining the Nexus, as I’ve said here, Orton can be the new face of the WWE. The guy’s very capable of being the franchise player that everyone envisioned him to be years ago so I think the Cena heel turn is worth the gamble even if it would hurt kids worldwide. Then again, it’s good for the business in the long term so I suggest they pull the trigger on that one. Randy Orton is ready to become WWE’s top guy. Make it happen.

After winning the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match just a few hours ago, Kane immediately cashed in his right to a World Championship match against a fallen Rey Mysterio (after he just defended the World Championship against no.1 contender Jack Swagger) moments later at the same MITB PPV. This was more than a decade in the making! He hasn’t held the WWE Championship nor the World Heavyweight Championship since the late 90s, not to mention he only his 1st WWE Title reign was just a day in total. Who knows, he might lose the title tomorrow @ WWE RAW (LOL just kidding ). Not gonna happen anyway since he’s on WWE Smackdown.

Finally, after more than 10 years, Kane is on top of the mountain again. His reign of terror and continued search for Undertaker’s mystery attacker will only intensify his hold on the World Championship (they’re dropping the Heavyweight word I guess). Of all the recent narcissistic gimmicks I’ve seen in wrestling today, Cody Rhodes pulls it off like magic. He doesn’t exaggerate things like most do, well except when he repeats that word – dashing. He’s a natural when it comes to showing off because he has the tools to do so. I’m willing to bet that he’ll be more over as a heel than his former tag team partner, Ted Dibiase Jr. by the end of 2010. Being on the SmackDown! brand also helps his cause.

His in-ring work is good but needs to improve more. He has to hit some unique offense, not just the old school ones. He was dangerously branded as a generic CAW (create-a-wrestler in videogames) before he did the Dashing gimmick. Now, I see him in another light, and it’s very promising. Way to go Cody!

The second season of NXT is about to produce another big star in the making. Listed at 5’8″, 174 lbs, also formerly known as Low Ki and Senshi in his TNA tenure, Kaval may not look the typical WWE Superstar Vince or the casual fans they’re looking for. However, the World Warrior is about to prove everyone wrong again. Daniel Bryan (or Bryan Danielson), despite his non-typical WWE physique, has already made an impact in the WWE in such a short time, although he’s gone after PG rule he accidentaly violated. He’ll be back alright because the fans say so.

You can make the same case for Kaval. The fans are slowly getting behind this guy and not only that, he just got voted #1 on the Pros Poll just now. No one can deny how good he is in the wrestling ring, having started his career at such a young age. Now at 30, he’s only getting better at what he does. His mic skills are good too in my opinion – promos won’t be a problem. I’m already excited for the guy. Feuds or team-ups with the likes of Evan Bourne, Tyson Kidd, Daniel Bryan (hopefully he’ll be brought back) and of course, Rey Mysterio would be totally awesome!

I’m truly digging this NXT Invasion angle. Instead of having Wade Barrett climbing the WWE ladder on his own (and he’ll have a hard time doing it for sure), he’s now leading a stable of NXT kickouts from Season 1 and having them wreak havoc in the entire WWE RAW roster (and possibly SmackDown! as well later on). It has been a very interesting 2 weeks since this group was formed..too bad WWE can’t even save the should-have-been most important part of the stable, Daniel Bryan (or Bryan Danielson) because of a minor PG policy violation. Another question mark right now is who’s the mastermind behind this faction. It could be simply Wade but my guess is there’s someone else. We’ll probably know in the next weeks to come.

The winds of change are blowing indeed. There’s a new force in town that demands respect by bullying their way to the top. The Hart Dynasty, since turning face, has developed some form of identity under the guidance of Bret Hart himself. They badly needed that when they were still on ECW and SmackDown!. Even though each member of the group is part of the rich family wrestling tradition of the Hart’s, these 3 talented wrestlers hardly mattered to the WWE Universe. Their heel personas didn’t do them any favors too. However, everything changed when they aligned with Bret Hart and aided him in laying Vince McMahon to waste last March at WrestleMania 26. Little by little, they gained that much needed momentum with wins against  ShowMiz, Jericho and Miz, etc. And when they were crowned as Unified Tag Team Champions, things got more challenging for them. They’re now the hunted, and the Usos are doing just that to them, making a statement out of their expense. The feud with the Usos will certainly help them develop more in-ring personality, storyline relevance and star power, not to mention reviving the tag team division at the same time.

After feuding with the likes of Abyss, Kurt Angle, The Pope and Jeff Hardy, the young, brash and..asshole has turned a new leaf. Bischoff made the go signal to turn Mr. Anderson face after seeing the fan reaction to his Asshole gimmick. If you ask me, I wasn’t surprise Mr. Anderson quickly got over with the fans. Like I’ve said before, this guy has that ‘it’ factor. Give him a proper storyline and a nice push, he’ll definitely do wonders with that opportunity. He’s currently sort of teaming up with Jeff Hardy right now and going against the biggest heels in TNA right now, the group of AJ Styles and Ric Flair. Although I’m a bit skeptical about the quick face turn (hey, it’s nothing new in TNA :P), I’m enjoying what I’m seeing from the former Mr. Kennedy. I hope he somehow prove WWE wrong in firing him last year.
