Needing a fresh start, MVP has started ballin’ again on SmackDown! His RAW run was disastrous or probably decent at best so I’m very glad that my former favorite wrestler is back on the blue brand. He also needs to ditch the Cena gimmick and he has to separate himself again from the pack. He’s very capable when he’s a heel so again here’s hoping for a quick heel turn down the road soon. Interesting feuds with the likes of Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio will be off the charts. And by the end of the year, he should be on the main event scene. This guy can compete and entertain.

A quick return to heel mode has ended a failed face experiment for Edge. Just like what he ranted this past Monday night, the fans didn’t really embrace his new and more friendly persona. With his attack on The Viper, Randy Orton, it solidified the fact that Edge is A LOT better as a villain. If WWE were really serious on making him face for a long time, then a reunion with Christian could have helped..but Captain Charisma was drafted to SmackDown! anyway.
Now that he’s back to being an evil guy, Edge is ready to take on any RAW Superstar and he’s willing to spear them over and over again if he needs to. No more lame catchphrases, no more cheesy smiling and no more turning back. Our first fighter is none other than the rising UFC star, the one they call “The Filipino Wrecking Machine”, Mark Munoz! Currently, he’s sporting a healthy 8-1 record, demolishing opponents on his way to stardom. I saw his fight against Kendall Grove at UFC 112 and I gotta say he made a believer out of me. I’ll probably watch his other matches before that one just to see how capable he really is. For now, I can say that I’m a fan of this guy. And of course, I’m biased here because he’s my kababayan 😉

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been busy with my personal life lately, enjoying it right now even on a broken leg due to a freak accident on a recent basketball practice with teammates. Being lazy and all that – definitely worth it. Still, I’m still watching RAW, SmackDown! and Impact every now and then so there’s no shortage of wrestling in my life right now 🙂 However, I’ll make this post short and sweet 😉

Jack Swagger, not a laughing stock anymore.
After his ECW Champion stint, Jack Swagger has pretty much been a jobber after jumping to RAW last year. He had a lot of promise and potential but somehow he found himself at the bottom of the WWE ladder..until WrestleMania 26 that is. He won the Money in the Bank match and proceeded to cash it in 5 days later on Smackdown against an injured Chris Jericho. Of course, Jack Swagger then became the World Heavyweight Champion (with a little help from Edge before the match). It’s a bit too soon for him to be holding that belt if you ask me..then again, he needed a quick and strong momentum heading into Smackdown (it was rumored that he’ll be drafted to SD! earlier this year) so I really have no problem with the surprise move. What a career rebirth for the guy. Congrats Jack!

Kupy Wrestling Wallpapers is back baby! Whew, that was quite a long hiatus I had there. Maybe the site needed it too and that’s why things happened these past few weeks. I won’t go into details about it but you’ll definitely see the changes I’ve made here. Basically, Kupy Wrestling Wallpapers is starting over again. Yup, 95% of the wallpapers that were done from 2006 up to now are all gone, mostly WWE stuff. Why? Go figure. 😉 Also, during the hiatus, I’ve done a lot of soul searching (lack of better term sorry) and I’ve realized that there are more stuff I can do aside from doing wrestling wallpapers..but I’m not thinking about that right now. Maybe in a month or two, I’ll be starting a new project and it’ll have the ideas I thought about during recent long break. For now, let’s move on.
Speaking of fresh starts, today’s wrestling wallpaper features someone who needed a fresh start after a WWE run and it’s none other than Mr. Monday Night, ROB!.. VAN!.. DAM! Even though his TNA debut was met with lots of criticism because of how he was badly beaten up by Sting, RVD contradicted the rumors himself that he is very much happy with his current TNA stint. You can see that he’s genuinely having a good time in TNA. His recent teaming up with Jeff Hardy and Eric Young is nothing but a perfect fit for him. Faces just having a good time. Whether he wins the TNA World Heavyweight Championship belt soon or not depends on how TNA will make use of his talent. Right now, the only thing that matters is The Whole F’n Show is uncensored and unleashed from doing what he’s really capable of showing.

KWW’s Tribute to The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels had one heck of a career. A lot of the younger wrestlers today idolize him and praises him for everything he has achieved in his 25 years in the wrestling business, from being a tag-team wrestler to becoming a future Hall of Famer. HBK also has given fans the best matches we’d ever want to see in this lifetime – CLASSIC matches against the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Hulk Hogan and of course, the WrestleMania clashes against The Undertaker. Personally, he has done it all and deserves a good long break. Granted that the “farewell” given to him this past RAW lacked something (maybe a sendoff from the wrestlers), it still felt special for me, for every wrestling fan out there. Maybe this could mean that he’s still considering going back to the ring in a forseeable future..just maybe.
Thank you HBK for everything you’ve given to us..to the wrestling world. We’re not giving up on seeing you wrestle again that’s for sure..but for now, thank you so much Shawn.

Even though his recent gimmick (being undressed by his valet Chelsea) looks kinda corny, Desmond Wolfe will eventually be the top guy in TNA someday. Not only is he badass, he’s also equipped with superior wrestling skills, especially in terms of holds and submissions. The Tower of London is devastative too. He’ll be in the same league as Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe and AJ Styles soon, maybe as early as 2nd quarter of 2010. He’s the complete package, not to mention Hogan and Bischoff are high on him. That surely gives him the push he’ll get in the next few months. The Pope is VERY GOOD but I’ll still go with Desmond to carry TNA in the future.

Hulk Hogan has made the headlines yet again. Embarking on a new challenge, Hulk Hogan’s signing has already made TNA matter again..although there’s no saying whether he’ll be a good addition to the company or not. News say that he’ll run TNA by being the main booker. I dunno if that sounds good but at least, he’s doing something about TNA’s situation.
With the upcoming Hulkamania era on TNA in the next 2 months or so, everyone is already buzzing over what impact (pun intended) Hulk Hogan can bring to the table, whether as a full/part-time wrestler or a booker. For the good of the wrestling business, I hope he does good things for TNA so as to finally give WWE a credible competitor. Hogan vs. McMahon yet again, but this time around, as separate wrestling company promoters. A healthy competition between WWE and TNA will do wonders.
