After having one of the most lackluster and boring WWE Championship reigns in recent history, Jinder Mahal doesn’t deserve to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. The Modern Day Maharaja vs. The Beast has no appeal to me, at all. Sorry Jinder, even though you were passable as a heel champion, you just have no business right now being in the ring with Brock. AJ Styles, on the other hand, does. Carrying SmackDown Live on a nightly basis, The Phenomenal One deserves his rightful place at the top of the SmackDown chain. When he says SmackDown Live is the house that he built, he’s dead right. Thus, with Survivor Series shaping up to be a big, solid PPV, with the announcement of Shield vs. New Day being added to the card PLUS Triple H joining the Men’s RAW team and replacing Jason Jordan in the process, it’s only rightfully so that AJ Styles face Brock Lesnar in the main event. Whatever the outcome is, you can be sure that AJ Styles will give us a show like he can only provide!
The way Asuka demolished Stacie Cullen at last night’s RAW is just the first step in finally dominating the RAW’s women division. The Empress of Tomorrow had competitive matches against Emma (with all due respect and best wishes to her) so the fans were a bit skeptical as to why it was booked that way. Well, we will never know why but Asuka bounced back last night and made a huge impression. The way she decimated the local competitor was so heel-like that her tweener persona will probably the way to go moving forward, the same way her character direction went to during her last few months in NXT. Either way, all her future opponents will feel her dangerous strikes and submissions, regardless if she’ll be a face or heel.
The Hounds of Justice are back! Really, at this point, everyone is just happy about it, whether you hate Roman Reigns or not. The only intriguing thing about this reunion is will it last? They basically don’t have a group to feud with aside from the Miztourage and The Bar (and Braun Strowman of course) unless The Authors of Pain or Sanity debuts during or after Survivor Series. It’ll be interesting to see if Roman Reigns turns heel on his good brothers and finally start a long overdue heel tear. Then again, as if WWE will pull the trigger on something like that.

When Kevin Owens attacked Mr. McMahon a few weeks back, he reached a new level that only a handful of WWE Superstars have done before. WWE has shown a huge deal of faith in him and surely, Owens will kill it. At Hell In A Cell, KO faces Shane McMahon in a potential career-defining moment. I’m interested to see if we’ll see some sort of twist with Vince aligning himself with Owens or it’ll just be straight up Shane McMahon getting a huge beatdown. The HIAC PPV revolves around this story (sorry Nakamura-Mahal) and frankly, the only match everyone is interested in (though the Tag Team Championship HIAC could be a potential show-stealer but I’m not so sure about that).
In just a few hours, Kevin Owens will cement himself at the upper echelon only a few can only dream of getting at.
The megamatch that was originally rumored to be part of WrestleMania 34 will instead come early at WWE No Mercy. We’re not sure why but there must be some good reason behind it. Besides, WWE has no problems doing multiple rematches so I won’t be surprised if this match happens again next year at WrestleMania, with the Universal Championship on the line. Right now, it’s about being the man in the WWE.
At this point, there’s no hope to turn John Cena heel anymore. With Reigns though, it is certainly possible. Just pull the trigger WWE. He has been bastardized enough on the mic by Cena it’s not even fair. If I’m Reigns, I’d just shut up and kick John’s ass all over the arena. Let’s just get it done.
After weeks of word war, with Cena owning Reigns all the time, there’s a huge chance Roman Reigns wins round 1 at No Mercy. This won’t be a one-time thing for sure. The fans are now excited to see the match and you could just imagine the crowd reaction during the match. Rowdy might be an understatement!
Former Shield brothers Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins reunited for a common purpose and that’s to be RAW Tag Team Champs. And they did just that. With no immediate and credible threat to their tag team titles, it’s safe to say that these guys will be tag champs for quite some time. The feel-good reunion will come to an end at some point for sure as these 2 individuals have proven themselves to be better as singles competitors. Also, will Roman Reigns align himself with his former brothers as well? Whether you love/hate Roman or not, you have to admit that’s an intriguing possibility.
If there’s anything common between these 4 heavyweights, it is destruction. The feud intertwining Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman has been superb and definitely deserves the main event of this year’s SummerSlam. Sorry Mahal and Nakamura, the last match should be a total destruction of epic proportions that only these 4 men can pull off.
As for the winner, I just hope Lesnar drops the belt, even if it means Roman Reigns winning. But if I’m gonna pick someone, it should be Braun Strowman as he has been spectacular this year. He’s deserving of the top spot and will put legitimacy back again to RAW’s Universal Championship.
Man, Seth’s entrance theme is so much better now with the addition of this single, FREAKIN line. The adrenaline rush that the fans felt when they heard that was very evident and I wish WWE would explore that with him. It reminds me of his NXT days. I think that’s the missing piece of his current face run. You can see that the WWE Universe want to support him but somehow they can’t find the groove to cheer for him. Now, especially t hat he’s in a program with former fellow Shield brother Dean Ambrose and with the possibility of The Lunatic Fringe turning on him, The Architect is finally hitting the right time to be RAW’s top babyface. Sorry Roman Reigns.
