It all started from The Rock’s lil’ catchphrase that ends in something like “..proceed to check your candy ass into the Smackdown Hotel!” From there, WWE gave birth to the show by having it as a single TV special that aired on April 29, 1999. Then it became a weekly show aired every Thursdays (and now, Fridays) in which, at first, helped continue storylines from WWE RAW then became a brand extension on its later years. Since then, it has become a show that gave more importance to pure wrestling than controversial to absurd storylines usually found on RAW (except for some storylines like the Edge-Vickie marriage of course).
Even though Vince McMahon still favors RAW up to now, the show had its fair share of Superstar powers through the years like The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Triple H and Jeff Hardy. Smackdown also produced the badass version of John Cena (which I truly wish to come back) and the powerhouse Brock Lesnar. Rey Mysterio cemented his legacy in SmackDown! as we all know. Midcarders were able to get a lot of opportunities to shine like JBL, John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin (he failed though), and the Hardyz of course. Also, who could forget the late and legendary Eddie Guerrero?

Okay even though this wallpaper is a bit late and a bit out of favor for everyone’s liking, I still wanna post this as a memoir of my failed attempt to get this poster signed by the SD/ECW Superstars in their recent Manila tour. Click here for my WWE Smackdown/ECW in Manila experience and thoughts.
I just had to post this guys. After this, I’ll move on already :p
WWE Backlash 2009 definitely gave us a preview of how the company will be building for the future. Christian defeated Jack Swagger to become the NEW ECW Champion. Randy Orton together with his Legacy members Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr. defeated the trio of Shane McMahon, Batista and Triple H to become the new WWE Champion. And lastly, with the help of Big Show, Edge defeated John Cena to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Btw, the twist I see from this storyline is that Edge will allow Big Show to have an affair with her wife Vickie Guerrero in exchange for his help in winning the WHC match. Afterall, the World Championship belt mean more than anything in the world to Edge. Anyway, these 3 brand new champions have a lot to shoulder from now on. Yes, that includes Edge because there’s no legit main-event face in the WWE Smackdown roster right now aside from The Undertaker so whoever he works with in the next few weeks will surely have to be carried by Edge himself. Christian will have his hands full probably against Tommy Dreamer and Randy Orton will have to slay a lot of challengers in WWE RAW to keep his Legacy and Age of Orton alive.
These crop of champions are definitely for real if you ask me, especially Edge and Orton of course. Christian will get there soon. Now I can say that ECW was a good start for him afterall. One more thing, the backstage skit between Edge and Christian at WWE Backlash was a mark-out moment! Reeks of awesomeness indeed! Here’s hoping for a sooner-than-later reunion of Edge and Christian!

The shock value of the recent WWE Draft has been good thus far. We saw MAJOR changes for each brand, the World Heavyweight Championship won by CM Punk, the unmovable Triple H finally going to WWE SmackDown!, ECW flushed down the toilet yet again and so much more. Vince McMahon indeed shook things up in the WWE right now and I have to admit, everything became interesting again. A breath of fresh air indeed for every WWE fan out there.

The upcoming draft in 2 weeks time will apparently have seismic effect on the whole WWE landscape accdg. to WWE.com itself. We don’t know who exactly who will go where..maybe the obvious ones are CM Punk, Mark Henry and Umaga. This shakeup will hopefully freshen things up for each brand and for more compelling television and storylines.
Where’s ECW? This is a brand supremacy match right? Is ECW not a brand anymore? Anyway..if Batista wins, RAW will look weak. If Umaga wins, it won’t make any sense. Smackdown is and will always be the inferior brand right? Haha it’s so filler.
Batista’s goin` to win this match though. Then everyone will forget that this match ever took place.

Lack of updates. Why? I’ve been sick these past few days.
Drought is over. Two Wallpaper Special is back again!
Everyone knows by now that Edge recently cashed his Money in the Bank contract and eventually won the World Heavyweight Championship from The Undertaker. The recent injury bug that hit the WWE has caused a lot of trouble not only to their major stars (such as Mr. Kennedy, The Undertaker, Booker T, Rey Mysterio and Triple H) but to their storylines as well. So it was time for the other main eventers to step up and Edge took the opportunity right away to do just that. He’s now a member of WWE Smackdown (but we all know the barricades between the brands are almost nonexistent nowawdays) and will be defending that WHC belt right away at this year’s Judgment Day against The Animal, Batista. I think Edge’s going to hold that belt at least until Survivor Series.
As for this 2 wallpaper special, the first one is a remake of a previous wallpaper release. This current one is a request from a certain visitor. It’s a Crude, Lewd and Tattooed Rated R logo-only wallpaper. The second one’s a popular request from Edge-heads. A wallpaper of Edge as the new World Heavyweight Champion. Sorry guys for the lack of updates. I’ve been very very VERY busy these past few days..well I’m back again! With a WWE Smackdown! Superstars wrestling wallpapers no less This wallpaper features Gregory Helms, Matt Hardy, Kane, Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, the tag team of Brian Kendrick and Paul London, The Boogeyman, Mr. Ken Kennedy (personal favorite haha), The Undertaker, Finlay, Chris Benoit, King Booker T with Queen Sharmell and last but not the least, the World Heavyweight Champion, Dave Batista .
