It all started from The Rock’s lil’ catchphrase that ends in something like “..proceed to check your candy ass into the Smackdown Hotel!” From there, WWE gave birth to the show by having it as a single TV special that aired on April 29, 1999. Then it became a weekly show aired every Thursdays (and now, Fridays) in which, at first, helped continue storylines from WWE RAW then became a brand extension on its later years. Since then, it has become a show that gave more importance to pure wrestling than controversial to absurd storylines usually found on RAW (except for some storylines like the Edge-Vickie marriage of course).
Even though Vince McMahon still favors RAW up to now, the show had its fair share of Superstar powers through the years like The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Triple H and Jeff Hardy. Smackdown also produced the badass version of John Cena (which I truly wish to come back) and the powerhouse Brock Lesnar. Rey Mysterio cemented his legacy in SmackDown! as we all know. Midcarders were able to get a lot of opportunities to shine like JBL, John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin (he failed though), and the Hardyz of course. Also, who could forget the late and legendary Eddie Guerrero?

This guy will definitely make RAW exciting again with his daredevil offense and fearless attacks. He’s more disciplined now (in taking care of his body) and just simply better than ever.

The shock value of the recent WWE Draft has been good thus far. We saw MAJOR changes for each brand, the World Heavyweight Championship won by CM Punk, the unmovable Triple H finally going to WWE SmackDown!, ECW flushed down the toilet yet again and so much more. Vince McMahon indeed shook things up in the WWE right now and I have to admit, everything became interesting again. A breath of fresh air indeed for every WWE fan out there.

I edited it a lil’ bit to add more color and flare. WWE roster looks stronger now that HHH and Rey Mysterio are back. The Undertaker is next in this year’s Unforgiven PPV then hopefully HBK on Survivor Series.

Here’s the 2nd wallpaper of the SummerSlam 07 Party edition by Kupy Wrestling Wallpapers..it’s a Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero SummerSlam 07 wallpaper. We all know this one’s going to be one heck of a match (barring rey’s ring rust) and one of the matches I personally would love to see. Everyone will surely root for Rey to win. Btw, for those who still don’t know, Chavo Guerrero was the one who put Rey to the shelf by crushing his old pal’s knee(storyline-wise). For sure, we’ll see an intense and better-than-ever Rey going for revenge against Chavo at WWE SummerSlam 2007. Then hopefully, after that program with Chavo, a heel turn for Rey would probably give a breath of fresh air to his character. Or maybe I’m just not making any sense here. Yeah, probably.
Lots of requests for today’s wallpaper. It’s a Rey Mysterio better than ever wrestling wallpaper. Hopfully this guy comes back sooner coz WWE is really thin in main eventers right now. His knee is still probably bothering him right now so we really don’t know when he will come back. But I think one thing’s for sure though - he’ll be better than ever.

Sorry guys for the lack of updates. I’ve been very very VERY busy these past few days..well I’m back again! With a WWE Smackdown! Superstars wrestling wallpapers no less This wallpaper features Gregory Helms, Matt Hardy, Kane, Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, the tag team of Brian Kendrick and Paul London, The Boogeyman, Mr. Ken Kennedy (personal favorite haha), The Undertaker, Finlay, Chris Benoit, King Booker T with Queen Sharmell and last but not the least, the World Heavyweight Champion, Dave Batista . Just like what JBL say all the time, WWE Smackdown! is changing Friday nights!
By the way, I’m planning on expanding this site by putting up more sections like Ms. Linda Robin’s (a popular Internet wrestling columnist) wrestling column Linda’s Thoughts, voting polls, avatars and other wrestling-related stuff.
