I gotta be honest, I’m really rooting for TNA to get that weekly Monday night slot so they can finally compete with WWE every week. RAW has become WAY TOO STALE, not to mention, WAY TOO PG-RATED. I hate the direction WWE is taking. That’s why I’m more eager to watch the edgier TNA iMPACT!. I gotta admit too that I jumped on the bandwagon but heck, I’m honestly more interested now in Impact than RAW. Smackdown is still my number one show though.
Seeing how kid-friendly WWE have become (John Cena being the pioneer of this movement) - and I’m really pissed about it, here’s a shitty wrestling wallpaper featuring WWE’s latest PPV offering, WWE Royal Rumble 2010. It seems like Cena’s winning again to keep his main event spot alive. And that’s a shitty scenario too.

January 4, 2009 will either mark a new beginning of WWE vs. TNA..or it’ll be just another weekly WWE domination. Yes, wrestling fans are all excited about the Monday wars again, if it’ll come to fruition that is. Imagine, TNA’s AJ Styles, Angle, Wolfe etc. showcasing their talents on prime time against WWE’s Cena, Orton, DX, etc.? It’ll surely make WWE up the ante in their RAW programming and that can only mean good things for both wrestling promotions and of course, the fans. We’re all winners in this so I really wish this will start a hot feud between the most popular wrestling promotions in the world today. We might see another golden era in professional wrestling.

It all started from The Rock’s lil’ catchphrase that ends in something like “..proceed to check your candy ass into the Smackdown Hotel!” From there, WWE gave birth to the show by having it as a single TV special that aired on April 29, 1999. Then it became a weekly show aired every Thursdays (and now, Fridays) in which, at first, helped continue storylines from WWE RAW then became a brand extension on its later years. Since then, it has become a show that gave more importance to pure wrestling than controversial to absurd storylines usually found on RAW (except for some storylines like the Edge-Vickie marriage of course).
Even though Vince McMahon still favors RAW up to now, the show had its fair share of Superstar powers through the years like The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Triple H and Jeff Hardy. Smackdown also produced the badass version of John Cena (which I truly wish to come back) and the powerhouse Brock Lesnar. Rey Mysterio cemented his legacy in SmackDown! as we all know. Midcarders were able to get a lot of opportunities to shine like JBL, John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin (he failed though), and the Hardyz of course. Also, who could forget the late and legendary Eddie Guerrero?

Enough bull. I gotta admit the color blue suits his look. John Cena has been on a tear lately..winning the World Heavyweight Championship belt from Edge in a triple threat match against The Big Show and Edge @ WrestleMania 25. His program with Edge right now is a lot better than their feud years ago. However, it’s almost a lock he’ll lose the belt this Sunday at WWE Backlash, either against Edge or CM Punk (if he’ll cash his MITB title shot in. Why? Because WWE SmackDown has no world champion right now.

WrestleMania 25 is just around the corner and it looks pretty good and strong right now in terms of unexpected storylines and big-time matches.
Most likely, WWE will brand this year’s WrestleMania as a Triple Main Event PPV. It will have the occasional Championship matches featuring HHH vs. Orton for the WWE Championship and Edge vs. The Big Show vs. Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship and of course, the big-time match that has a main event feel to it: The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels. Each match has a compelling storyline behind it and without a doubt, a lot of talent and entertainment around it. Whether it be the Orton-McMahon/Helmsley rivalry, the storied Edge-Cena rivalry or The Streak vs. Mr. WrestleMania, WrestleMania 25 looks to be a very solid PPV from top to bottom.

WWE Survivor Series 2008 was quite fun if you ask me. Just watched the event awhile ago and was quite surprised with the 2 major title changes that occured. The returns of Edge & John Cena led them to championship gold. First time that happened in Survivor Series history I believe.

Two of the WWE’s biggest Superstars will be squaring off for the first time ever at this year’s SummerSlam PPV event. John Cena vs. Batista will be headlining this pay-per-view event I believe. It would be interesting to see if there’ll be clean finish between these two huge fan-favorites.
(Or will the crowd turn on both of them? That could turn into a HUGE disaster.)

I have to say that since Cryme Tyme and John Cena were made as some sort of a stable, it made wonders for all of them. It’s too early to say though..but the early results have been positive. I hope WWE continues with this group and build them as a solid stable.
What do you guys think of their preliminary stable name? Do the initials CTC bring credibility? Coz the first thing comes to my mind when I say CTC is obviously, care to chat. I would probably prefer them to be called simply as The ChainGang. At least when Cena says he has the ChainGang with him, he won’t be talking about just a bunch of kids anymore. Heehee
