WWE Backlash 2009 definitely gave us a preview of how the company will be building for the future. Christian defeated Jack Swagger to become the NEW ECW Champion. Randy Orton together with his Legacy members Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr. defeated the trio of Shane McMahon, Batista and Triple H to become the new WWE Champion. And lastly, with the help of Big Show, Edge defeated John Cena to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Btw, the twist I see from this storyline is that  Edge will allow Big Show to have an affair with her wife Vickie Guerrero in exchange for his help in winning the WHC match. Afterall, the World Championship belt mean more than anything in the world to Edge. Anyway, these 3 brand new champions have a lot to shoulder from now on. Yes, that includes Edge because there’s no legit main-event face in the WWE Smackdown roster right now aside from The Undertaker so whoever he works with in the next few weeks will surely have to be carried by Edge himself. Christian will have his hands full probably against Tommy Dreamer and Randy Orton will have to slay a lot of challengers in WWE RAW to keep his Legacy and Age of Orton alive.

These crop of champions are definitely for real if you ask me, especially Edge and Orton of course. Christian will get there soon. Now I can say that ECW was a good start for him afterall. One more thing, the backstage skit between Edge and Christian at WWE Backlash was a mark-out moment! Reeks of awesomeness indeed! Here’s hoping for a sooner-than-later reunion of Edge and Christian!

John Cena has been on a tear lately..winning the World Heavyweight Championship belt from Edge in a triple threat match against The Big Show and Edge @ WrestleMania 25. His program with Edge right now is a lot better than their feud years ago. However, it’s almost a lock he’ll lose the belt this Sunday at WWE Backlash, either against Edge or CM Punk (if he’ll cash his MITB title shot in. Why? Because WWE SmackDown has no world champion right now.

Even after losing the World Heavyweight Championship this past WrestleMania 25, Edge is still awesome. He won’t probably regain the WHC anytime soon coz that would mean he’ll become a 9-time world champion in such a short span of time and that my folks, even for today’s standards, is an overkill. Nonetheless, he will remain cool without the belt. He’ll probably feud with Christian after the WWE Draft too. Who knows?

Randy Orton together with Team Priceless, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr., formed one of the most popular stables in wrestling today. The Legacy lives on in these second/third generation superstars and they’re wreaking havoc in the McMahon-Helmsley family. With Randy Orton leading the charge, there’s nothing but success for them on their way to the top of the WWE.

IMHO, the logo looks just fine. Not as impressive as the Evolution logo but can be liked anyway. Their entrance music as a group remains to be seen/heard.
